Definition:
Family offices are private wealth management firms that manage the financial and entrepreneurial assets of high-net-worth families. They serve as a central point of contact for all financial, tax, and often personal matters.
A family office can be organized as a Single Family Office (SFO) – for one family – or as a Multi Family Office (MFO) – for multiple families. The goal is to preserve, grow, and transfer wealth across generations.
Family offices often bring capital, entrepreneurial mindset, and long-term investment interest – making them especially relevant in succession situations for mid-sized companies.
